Command: Protect can be used on yourself to return the Ball back to you quickly. Combine this with Command: Attack for a quick harassment.
Command: Dissonance is a very powerful escape tool if Orianna has the Ball. The combination of speed and leaving a slowing obstacle can be quite powerful.
Command: Shockwave can be used to drag enemies towards you or away from you if you position the Ball properly.

This is contrasting evidence that she is worse when playing synergisticly with Orianna.
Moreover, when Yuumi plays with Orianna on the same side, she typically takes a little less damage than when she fights alone. Receiving not as much damage may indicate that Orianna does a decent job of protecting Yuumi in team fights.
There is no top synergy for Yuumi that will 100% of the time be her top teammate. Yet, overall, Orianna is a very typical ally for Yuumi. By playing on the same team as Yuumi, she improves their win rate by 0.7% to 44.6%. This shows that there is not really a strong strategic relationship between Yuumi and Orianna that results in them performing stronger together than alone.
Orianna has a much greater difficulty compared to Yuumi. That means Yuumi players must be cautious when finding Orianna allies to play with, as they will require a much higher level of skill to fight well with you.
When playing alongside, you should see an overall large increase in your team’s capacity to to do a lot of AP damage. Combined, these champs can blast through enemies with magic damage.
Although, by bringing Yuumi and Orianna together, you may not be granting your team very much tankyness. Make sure to pick other champions on your team that helps cover this gap in this pairing's kit.
