The Yone Shen synergy stats shown here demonstrate the areas of his gameplay that do better (or worse) when paired with Shen, compared to his overall stats. Significant differences are areas of focus that highlight how his gameplay changes when paired with this other champion.
Overall, Yone sees a very large drop in his KDA (ratio of kills and assists to deaths) when paired with Shen. His KDA decreased from NaN to NaN. This worsening shows that Shen helps Yone perform not as well in competitive League matches. Yet, the small difference shows that this performance change is only marginal.
When Yone tries to synergize with Shen, he observes a marginal improvement in his complete damage dealt. This could demonstrate that Shen provides cover for him to dish out more damage or that his participation also helps increase the game's duration. Similarly, when Yone is played with Shen on the same side, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees than when he plays on his own. This is contrasting evidence that he is worse when playing alongside Shen.
Moreover, when Yone plays with Shen on the same team, he usually receives a little more damage than when he fights alone. Getting dealt more damage could indicate that Shen does a poor job of covering Yone in teamfights.
There is no perfect ally for Yone that will always be his top teammate. However, Shen is a very typical ally for Yone. By playing on the same team as Yone, he raises their win rate by 0.4% to 49.7%. This shows that there is only a small synergy between Yone and Shen that results in them performing stronger together than without each other.

Working together, Yone players will likely witness an overall large increase in your team’s ability to to cover for your other teammates. When paired, these two will be a great protective duo.
In contrast, by grouping Yone and Shen together, you may not be providing your side a great deal of magical damage output. Plan to bring other champions on your team that helps cover this relative hole in their playstyle.
Regardless of your Shen ally's ability, you should focus on increasing your gold income, outlasting your enemies, and clearing objectives. If you do this, you should do well anyway.
