It's easier to land Arcanopulse on an enemy when they're moving toward or away from you, rather than side to side.
Eye of Destruction will make landing Arcanopulse easier as the target will be slowed.
Delaying the activation of Undying Rage is a very effective way to make an enemy champion over-commit to trying to kill you.

Overall, Xerath sees a large worsening in his KDA (ratio of kills and assists to deaths) when paired with Tryndamere. His KDA worsened from NaN to NaN. This worsening shows that Tryndamere helps Xerath perform not as well in competitive League of Legends rounds. Yet, the small difference shows that this performance change is only marginal.
When Xerath plays on the same team as Tryndamere, he gets a little drop in his total damage dealt. This change could signal that Tryndamere doesn't help protection for him to deal more damage or that his presence also helps extend the round's duration. Similarly, when Xerath is played with Tryndamere on the same team, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees compared to when he plays on his own. This is contrasting evidence that he is worse when playing alongside Tryndamere.

Playing together, Xerath players should expect to witness an overall large increase in your team’s capability to deal magic damage. When paired, these champions can blast through enemies with magic damage.
Conversely, by grouping Xerath and Tryndamere together, you will not be granting your team much support. Plan to pick other champs on your team that offsets this relative disparity in this pairing's potential.
Regardless of your Tryndamere ally's ability, you should focus on increasing your income, warding to avoid ambushes, and taking down objectives. If you do this, you will do well, regardless.
