Overall, Varus sees a very large drop in his KDA (ratio of kills and assists to deaths) when paired with Yasuo. His KDA fell from NaN to NaN. This worsening shows that Yasuo helps Varus perform not as well in ranked League of Legends rounds. Yet, the small difference demonstrates that this performance change is only marginal.
When Varus plays on the same team as Yasuo, he sees a small decrease in his complete damage dealt. This may demonstrate that Yasuo does not help cover for him to dish out more damage or that his allyship also helps increase the round's duration. Similarly, when Varus is played alongside Yasuo on the same side, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees compared to when he plays alone. This is contrasting evidence that he is worse when playing alongside Yasuo.
Moreover, when Varus plays with Yasuo on the same side, he typically takes a little less damage than when he fights alone. Getting dealt not as much damage could indicate that Yasuo does a decent job of protecting Varus in teamfights.
There is no universally accepted best ally for Varus that will always be his ideal synergy. However, Yasuo is a pretty good companion for Varus. By locking into the same team as Varus, he increases their win rate by 2.2% to 50.6%. This demonstrates that there is a potentially meaningful strategic relationship between Varus and Yasuo that allows them to perform stronger together than without each other.
Yasuo has a much greater difficulty compared to Varus. That means Varus players must be cautious when lining up Yasuo comrades to fight alongside, as they will have to have a much higher level of skill to be able to cooperate well with you.
Working cooperatively, Varus players should witness an overall large increase in your team’s capability to dish out massive AD. Together, these champs can provide a great amount of sustained physical damage.
