Try to take advantage of Piercing Arrow's very long range to snipe at enemy champions before a fight or as they're trying to flee.
An early point in Blighted Quiver helps harass enemy champions and get killing blows on minions.
During short range fights it's sometimes best to fire Piercing Arrow quickly, rather than charging it to full power.
If Draven doesn't move, Spinning Axe will fall near his present location. It will fall directly on him, or just to the right or left.
If Draven does move after attacking, Spinning Axe will lead him in the direction of his movement. Use this to control where the Spinning Axe will go.
The Varus Draven synergy stats shown here demonstrate the areas of his gameplay that do better (or worse) when paired with Draven, compared to his overall stats. Significant differences are areas of focus that highlight how his gameplay changes when paired with this other champion.
Overall, Varus sees a very large drop in his KDA (ratio of kills and assists to deaths) when paired with Draven. His KDA worsened from NaN to NaN. This drop shows that Draven helps Varus perform worse in ranked League of Legends games. Yet, the small difference indicates that this performance change is not very impactful.
When Varus plays on the same team as Draven, he observes a little increase in his total damage output. This change may signal that Draven supports by providing cover for him to dish out more damage or that his allyship also helps increase the match's duration. Similarly, when Varus is played together with Draven on the same team, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees compared to when he plays on his own. This is contrasting evidence that he is worse when playing with Draven.
Additionally, when Varus plays with Draven on the same side, he often receives a little more damage than when he fights alone. Taking more damage may mean that Draven does a poor job of protecting Varus in team fights.
There is no one best ally for Varus that will 100% of the time be his top synergy. Yet, Draven is a terrible ally for Varus. By playing on the same side as Varus, he lowers their win rate by -4.6% to 43.8%. This shows that there is a very bad bond between Varus and Draven that results in them performing not as well together than alone.
Draven has a much greater difficulty compared to Varus. That means Varus players should be very careful when finding Draven comrades to play with, as they will require a much higher level of skill to be able to cooperate well with you.
Fighting cooperatively, Varus players should see an overall large increase in your team’s ability to dish out massive AD. When paired, these champs should be able to take down targets with auto-attacks and other AD damage abilities.
Although, by bringing Varus and Draven together, you may not be granting your side much AP. We recommend you pick other champs on your team that nullifies this gap in their playstyle.
Regardless of the ability of your Draven ally, you should focus on increasing your gold income, warding to avoid ambushes, and clearing objectives. If you heed this simple advice, you will do well, regardless.
