There is no ideal ally for Varus that will 100% of the time be his top ally. However, overall, Akshan is a very typical ally for Varus. By being on the same side as Varus, they increases their win rate by 0.2% to 48.6%. This demonstrates that there is only a small strategic relationship between Varus and Akshan that results in them performing stronger together than without each other.
Akshan has a lower difficulty than Varus. That means Varus players don't need to be cautious when lining up Akshan teammates to play with, as they will require a lower level of skill to do well with you.
Fighting on the same side, Varus players should witness an overall large increase in your team’s capability to deal physical damage. Together, these champions can tear through the other team with a lot of physcial damage.
Conversely, by pairing Varus and Akshan together, you may not be granting your other teammates a great deal of tankyness. Make sure to bring other champions on your team that helps cover this relative hole in their potential.
Regardless of your Akshan ally's skill level, you should focus on increasing your income, warding to avoid ambushes, and clearing objectives. If you do this, you will do well anyway.
