When Sion plays on the same team as Ivern, he sees a small increase in his total damage output. This change may indicate that Ivern supports by providing protection for him to dish out more damage or that his participation also helps extend the match's duration. Similarly, when Sion is played together with Ivern on the same team, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees than when he plays alone. This is contrasting evidence that he is worse when playing alongside Ivern.
Moreover, when Sion plays with Ivern on the same side, he usually takes a little less damage than when he fights alone. Receiving not as much damage could mean that Ivern does a decent job of covering Sion in team fights.
There is no one best synergy for Sion that will 100% of the time be his ideal synergy. Yet, Ivern is a very typical teammate for Sion. By being on the same team as Sion, he lowers their win rate by -0.1% to 50.1%.
