The Tap version of Bone Skewer is much faster and deals additional damage.
A lot of your agressive spells are also your escapes. Make sure you always have a plan to get out of the fight.
Hitting an enemy with the Hold version of Bone Skewer will always pull them the same distance. Use it in melee range to throw targets behind you.
Pyke is very fragile so don't be afraid to temporarily run from a fight. You can regenerate a significant amount of health from Gift of the Drowned Ones when enemies can't see you.
While ganking, consider aiming Dredge Line at nearby terrain and following it up with Riptide for a higher hit rate.
Riptide has a delayed blast timing on activation - you can use this while running away or when enemies are incoming to serve as a deterrent.
The Pyke Nautilus synergy stats shown here demonstrate the areas of his gameplay that do better (or worse) when paired with Nautilus, compared to his overall stats. Significant differences are areas of focus that highlight how his gameplay changes when paired with this other champion.
Overall, Pyke sees a large worsening in his KDA (ratio of kills and assists to deaths) when paired with Nautilus. His KDA fell from NaN to NaN. This fall shows that Nautilus helps Pyke perform not as well in competitive League games. Yet, the small difference demonstrates that this performance change is not very impactful.
When Pyke tries to synergize with Nautilus, he sees a small increase in his full damage dealt. This may signal that Nautilus helps provide cover for him to dish out more damage or that his presence also helps increase the match's duration. Similarly, when Pyke is played with Nautilus on the same team, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees than when he plays on his own. This is contrasting evidence that he is worse when playing with Nautilus.
Additionally, when Pyke plays with Nautilus on the same side, he usually receives a little more damage than when he plays alone. Taking more damage may indicate that Nautilus does a poor job of covering Pyke in teamfights.
There is no ideal ally for Pyke that will 100% of the time be his top synergy. However, Nautilus is a very bad teammate for Pyke. By playing on the same team as Pyke, he drops their win rate by -6.6% to 42.5%. This clearly indicates that there is a terrible synergy between Pyke and Nautilus that results in them performing not as well together than alone.
Nautilus has a lower difficulty than Pyke. That means you don't need to be very careful when enlisting Nautilus teammates to go into battle on the same side as, as they will need a lower level of skill to do well with you.
Working alongside, you will likely see an overall large increase in your team’s capability to deal physical damage. Together, these two can tear through the other team with a lot of physcial damage.
Conversely, by pairing Pyke and Nautilus together, you probably will not be providing your other teammates a lot of magical damage output. Make sure to have other champs on your team that offsets this relative disparity in this pairing's kit.
Regardless of your Nautilus ally's ability, you need to focus on increasing your income, staying alive by avoiding foolish fights, and taking down objectives. If you do this, you should do well, regardless.
