Despite his abilities scaling on Armor, some games require Malphite to get Magic Resist. When those games occur, try getting Aegis of the Legion, Mercury's Treads, and Guardian Angel.
Armor naturally reduces the rate that attacks go through Granite Shield, so Brutal Strikes will strengthen the shield against physical damage.
The Malphite Vex synergy stats shown here demonstrate the areas of his gameplay that do better (or worse) when paired with Vex, compared to his overall stats. Significant differences are areas of focus that highlight how his gameplay changes when paired with this other champion.
Overall, Malphite sees a large worsening in his KDA (ratio of kills and assists to deaths) when paired with Vex. His KDA went down from NaN to NaN. This worsening shows that Vex helps Malphite perform worse in competitive LoL games. Yet, the small difference demonstrates that this performance change is only marginal.
When Malphite tries to synergize with Vex, he observes a little decrease in his full damage output. This difference could indicate that Vex does not support by providing cover for him to deal more damage or that their participation also helps increase the game's duration. Similarly, when Malphite is played with Vex on the same side, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees compared to when he plays alone. This is contrasting evidence that he is worse when playing synergisticly with Vex.
Additionally, when Malphite plays with Vex on the same side, he usually receives a little more damage than when he plays alone. Taking more damage may mean that Vex does a poor job of covering Malphite during teamfights.
There is no top ally for Malphite that will no matter what be his best ally. Yet, overall, Vex is a not very good teammate for Malphite. By being on the same team as Malphite, they lowers their win rate by -1.2% to 48.9%. This demonstrates that there is a negative bond between Malphite and Vex that allows them to perform worse together than alone.
Vex has a lower difficulty than Malphite. That means you don't need to be careful when lining up Vex comrades to go into battle on the same side as, as they will need a relatively low level of skill to be able to cooperate well with you.
Fighting together, Malphite players should witness an overall large increase in your team’s ability to buff allies and debuff enemies. When paired, these two may be able to carry with the power of their abilities.
In contrast, by pairing Malphite and Vex together, you will not be giving your other allies a lot of attack damage. We recommend you have other champs on your team that nullifies this gap in this pairing's kit.
Regardless of your Vex ally's skill level, you should focus on increasing your gold income, warding to avoid ambushes, and taking down objectives. If you do this, you should do well anyway.
