Despite his abilities scaling on Armor, some games require Malphite to get Magic Resist. When those games occur, try getting Aegis of the Legion, Mercury's Treads, and Guardian Angel.
Armor naturally reduces the rate that attacks go through Granite Shield, so Brutal Strikes will strengthen the shield against physical damage.
The Tap version of Bone Skewer is much faster and deals additional damage.
A lot of your agressive spells are also your escapes. Make sure you always have a plan to get out of the fight.
Hitting an enemy with the Hold version of Bone Skewer will always pull them the same distance. Use it in melee range to throw targets behind you.
Pyke is very fragile so don't be afraid to temporarily run from a fight. You can regenerate a significant amount of health from Gift of the Drowned Ones when enemies can't see you.
The Malphite Pyke synergy stats shown here demonstrate the areas of his gameplay that do better (or worse) when paired with Pyke, compared to his overall stats. Significant differences are areas of focus that highlight how his gameplay changes when paired with this other champion.
Overall, Malphite sees a very large drop in his KDA (ratio of kills and assists to deaths) when paired with Pyke. His KDA worsened from NaN to NaN. This fall shows that Pyke helps Malphite perform not as well in competitive LoL games. Yet, the small difference demonstrates that this performance change is not very impactful.
When Malphite is an ally to Pyke, he gets a small increase in his full damage dealt. This could signal that Pyke supports by providing cover for him to deal more damage or that his presence also helps increase the game's duration. Similarly, when Malphite is played with Pyke on the same team, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees compared to when he plays alone. This is contrasting evidence that he is worse when playing with Pyke.
Additionally, when Malphite plays with Pyke on the same side, he on average receives a little more damage than when he plays alone. Getting dealt more damage could indicate that Pyke does a poor job of protecting Malphite during team fights.
There is no top ally for Malphite that will always be his #1 synergy. However, overall, Pyke is a not very good ally for Malphite. By being on the same team as Malphite, he lowers their win rate by -1.3% to 48.8%. This proves that there is a negative bond between Malphite and Pyke that results in them performing not as well together than without each other.
Pyke has a much greater difficulty compared to Malphite. That means you need to be very careful when arranging Pyke teammates to play with, as they will require a much higher level of skill to be able to play well with you.
Working together, Malphite players should see an overall large increase in your team’s capability to destroy wih physical damage. Combined, these champs should be able to take down targets with auto-attacks and other AD damage abilities.
Although, by bringing Malphite and Pyke together, you probably will not be giving your other teammates enough magic damage. We recommend you have other champs on your team that offsets this relative disparity in their kit.
Regardless of your Pyke ally's skill level, you need to focus on maximizing your income, staying alive by avoiding foolish fights, and taking down objectives. If you do this, you should do well, regardless.
