Despite his abilities scaling on Armor, some games require Malphite to get Magic Resist. When those games occur, try getting Aegis of the Legion, Mercury's Treads, and Guardian Angel.
Armor naturally reduces the rate that attacks go through Granite Shield, so Brutal Strikes will strengthen the shield against physical damage.
Valkyrie can be used defensively as well, so try using it for a quick escape.
Phosphorus Bomb can be used to reveal enemy units that might be hiding in a nearby patch of brush.
Corki can continue to attack while using Gatling Gun. Maximizing Gatling Gun is key to mastering Corki.

Overall, Malphite sees a large worsening in his KDA (ratio of kills and assists to deaths) when paired with Corki. His KDA fell from NaN to NaN. This drop shows that Corki helps Malphite perform not as well in ranked League of Legends games. Yet, the small difference demonstrates that this performance change is only marginal.
When Malphite is paired with Corki, he observes a small increase in his full damage output. This change could demonstrate that Corki helps provide cover for him to deal more damage or that his support also helps extend the match's duration. Similarly, when Malphite is played alongside Corki on the same team, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees than when he plays without Corki. This is contrasting evidence that he is worse when playing alongside Corki.
Additionally, when Malphite plays with Corki on the same side, he on average receives a little more damage than when he fights alone. Receiving more damage may indicate that Corki does a poor job of covering Malphite during teamfights.

Corki has a much greater difficulty compared to Malphite. That means Malphite players should be careful when finding Corki allies to go into battle on the same side as, as they will require a much higher level of skill to work well with you.
Playing on the same side, you should expect to see an overall large increase in your team’s ability to destroy wih physical damage. When paired, these two should be able to take down targets with auto-attacks and other AD damage abilities.
Although, by grouping Malphite and Corki together, you may not be providing your other allies a great deal of utility. Plan to have other champions on your team that offsets this relative disparity in their abilities.
Regardless of the ability of your Corki teammate, you should focus on increasing your income, outlasting your enemies, and clearing objectives. If you do this, you should do well anyway.
