Overall, Lux sees a very large drop in her KDA (ratio of kills and assists to deaths) when paired with Gragas. His KDA fell from NaN to NaN. This fall shows that Gragas helps Lux perform not as well in competitive LoL matches. Yet, the small difference demonstrates that this performance change is only marginal.
When Lux plays on the same team as Gragas, she gets a barely noticable drop in her complete damage output. This could demonstrate that Gragas does not help protection for her to deal more damage or that his participation also helps increase the round's duration. Similarly, when Lux is played together with Gragas on the same side, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees than when she plays on his own. This is contrasting evidence that she is worse when playing synergisticly with Gragas.
Additionally, when Lux plays with Gragas on the same team, she typically takes a little more damage than when she fights alone. Getting dealt more damage could indicate that Gragas does a poor job of protecting Lux in team fights.
There is no top synergy for Lux that will always be her best ally. Yet, overall, Gragas is a very bad teammate for Lux. By playing on the same side as Lux, he lowers their win rate by -4.2% to 45.6%. This signals that there is an easy to overcome and exploit synergy between Lux and Gragas that allows them to perform not as well together than alone.
Gragas has a lower difficulty than Lux. That means Lux players don't need to be cautious when finding Gragas allies to fight alongside, as they will require a lower level of skill to cooperate well with you.

Although, by pairing Lux and Gragas together, you will not be providing your side a great deal of attack damage. Make sure to bring other champions on your team that helps cover this hole in their kit.
