Overall, Ivern sees a very large drop in his KDA (ratio of kills and assists to deaths) when paired with Rammus. His KDA worsened from NaN to NaN. This fall shows that Rammus helps Ivern perform poorer in competitive League of Legends matches. Yet, the small difference shows that this performance change is only marginal.
When Ivern is paired with Rammus, he observes a small increase in his total damage output. This may signal that Rammus supports by providing protection for him to deal more damage or that his presence on the team also helps increase the match's duration. Similarly, when Ivern is played alongside Rammus on the same side, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees than when he plays alone. This is contrasting evidence that he is worse when playing with Rammus.
Additionally, when Ivern plays with Rammus on the same team, he on average receives more damage than when he fights alone. Getting dealt more damage may mean that Rammus does a poor job of covering Ivern during teamfights.
There is no perfect companion for Ivern that will 100% of the time be his top synergy. Yet, Rammus is a very typical ally for Ivern. By being on the same side as Ivern, he has no effect on their win rate by 0.0% to 50.8%. This demonstrates that there is a weak bond between Ivern and Rammus that results in them performing at the same level together than alone.
Rammus has a lower difficulty than Ivern. That means you don't need to be cautious when enlisting Rammus allies to go into battle on the same side as, as they will need a relatively low level of skill to be able to do well with you.
Working on the same side, Ivern players should expect to see an overall large increase in your team’s capability to soak up damage. Combined, these two will be able to tank for the rest of their team.
Although, by pairing Ivern and Rammus together, you probably will not be giving your side a great deal of sustained damage output. Make sure to include other champs on your team that nullifies this disparity in this pairing's potential.
Regardless of the ability of your Rammus ally, you need to focus on increasing your income, staying alive by avoiding foolish fights, and taking down objectives. If you heed this simple advice, you will do well, regardless.
