The Gnar Vex synergy stats shown here demonstrate the areas of his gameplay that do better (or worse) when paired with Vex, compared to his overall stats. Significant differences are areas of focus that highlight how his gameplay changes when paired with this other champion.
Overall, Gnar sees a very large drop in his KDA (ratio of kills and assists to deaths) when paired with Vex. His KDA worsened from NaN to NaN. This negative change shows that Vex helps Gnar perform worse in competitive LoL rounds. Yet, the small difference proves that this performance change is not very impactful.
When Gnar is an ally to Vex, he gets a small increase in his full damage output. This change may signal that Vex supports by providing cover for him to dish out more damage or that their presence also helps increase the game's duration. Similarly, when Gnar is played together with Vex on the same side, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees than when he plays without Vex. This is contrasting evidence that he is worse when playing with Vex.
Moreover, when Gnar plays with Vex on the same side, he often takes a little more damage than when he fights alone. Taking more damage could mean that Vex does a poor job of protecting Gnar in teamfights.
There is no top champion pairing for Gnar that will 100% of the time be his best synergy. Yet, Vex is a not very good ally for Gnar. By locking into the same team as Gnar, they lowers their win rate by -1.9% to 46.1%. This proves that there is a negative bond between Gnar and Vex that results in them performing worse together than without each other.
Vex has a much lower diffuclty than Gnar. That means Gnar players don't need to be careful when lining up Vex teammates to play with, as they will have to have a much lower level of skill to be able to play well with you.
When playing on the same side, you will likely observe an overall large increase in your team’s capacity to provide utility and CC for your side. Together, these two may be able to carry with the power of their abilities.
Conversely, by grouping Gnar and Vex together, you may not be giving your other allies a great deal of magical damage output. Make sure to have other champs on your team that neutralizes this relative hole in their abilities.
Regardless of the ability of your Vex ally, you should focus on maximizing your gold income, outlasting your enemies, and clearing objectives. If you do this, you will do well, regardless.

The most crucial items to include in your Gnar and Vex synergy build consist of Sterak's Gage, Black Cleaver, and Trinity Force. When Gnar incorporated at least these three items in his build, he did significantly better as an ally of Vex than with most other typical builds. In fact, Gnar boasted an average winrate of 46.1% helping carry Vex with these items in his kit.
To have the greatest probability of vanquishing your oponents, Gnar players should take the Fleet Footwork, Triumph, Legend: Alacrity, Last Stand, Bone Plating, and Overgrowth runes from the Precision and Resolve rune sets. Out of all the runes we have analyed for Gnar and Vex pairings, this mix of runes yielded the highest win rate. Notably, these runes provided a 46.1% winrate overall.
