In the lane, try to position your soldiers between the enemy's minions and the enemy champion. This way you can use them both to last hit and to project threat onto your lane opponent.
Be careful about putting down both of the soldiers stored by Arise! Unless you're going all-in, always have a soldier in your back pocket if you need to escape over a wall or if you misposition your other soldier and need damage now.
Think of Emperor's Divide as a defensive ability first and foremost. Use it when the enemy engages on you or your allies. Remember that your team can walk through the soldiers summoned by Emperor's Divide and use this to your advantage when enemy melee champions engage on you.
To maximize your ultimate's damage use it when there are many spheres on the battlefield.
After you hit an enemy champion with Force of Will follow up with Dark Sphere, they'll be slowed and have a hard time avoiding it.

Overall, Azir sees a very large drop in his KDA (ratio of kills and assists to deaths) when paired with Syndra. His KDA went down from NaN to NaN. When Azir plays on the same team as Syndra, he observes a sizeable uptick in his total damage output. This difference may signal that Syndra helps provide protection for him to dish out more damage or that her support also helps increase the match's duration. Similarly, when Azir is played with Syndra on the same side, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees than when he plays without Syndra. This is contrasting evidence that he is worse when playing alongside Syndra.
Additionally, when Azir plays with Syndra on the same team, he usually takes significantly more damage than when he plays alone. Taking more damage could mean that Syndra does a poor job of protecting Azir during team fights.
There is no perfect companion for Azir that will 100% of the time be his #1 synergy. Yet, Syndra is a very typical companion for Azir. By playing on the same team as Azir, she drops their win rate by -1.0% to 49.2%. This clearly indicates that there is only a small synergy between Azir and Syndra that results in them performing worse together than without each other.
Syndra has a lower difficulty than Azir. That means Azir players don't need to be cautious when finding Syndra teammates to go into battle on the same side as, as they will need a relatively low level of skill to fight well with you.
When playing together, Azir players will likely see an overall large increase in your team’s capability to deal magic damage. Combined, these two are able to dish out a surprising amount of magic type damage.
Conversely, by grouping Azir and Syndra together, you probably will not be giving your other teammates a great deal of protection for burst damage. Make sure to have other champs on your team that neutralizes this relative disparity in their kit.
Regardless of the ability of your Syndra teammate, you should focus on increasing your income, warding to avoid ambushes, and clearing objectives. If you do this, you will do well, regardless.
