When Aatrox plays on the same team as Ekko, he gets a marginal improvement in his complete damage dealt. This change could demonstrate that Ekko helps provide protection for him to deal more damage or that his presence on the team also helps increase the game's duration. Similarly, when Aatrox is played alongside Ekko on the same team, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees than when he plays without Ekko. This is contrasting evidence that he is worse when playing with Ekko.
Moreover, when Aatrox plays with Ekko on the same side, he often takes a little more damage than when he fights alone. Taking more damage may mean that Ekko does a poor job of protecting Aatrox during team fights.
There is no ideal synergy for Aatrox that will 100% of the time be his #1 teammate. However, overall, Ekko is a good ally for Aatrox. By being on the same side as Aatrox, he raises their win rate by 1.3% to 51.7%. This proves that there is pretty good strategic relationship between Aatrox and Ekko that results in them performing better together than alone.

Working on the same side, Aatrox players should expect to see an overall large increase in your team’s capability to deal physical damage. When paired, these champions should be able to take down targets with auto-attacks and other AD damage abilities.
Conversely, by grouping Aatrox and Ekko together, you may not be granting your other teammates a lot of tankyness. We recommend you bring other champs on your team that offsets this disparity in this pairing's kit.
