Both LoL champs are great. Both champs have their strengths, weaknesses, and counters. In League's current meta, Zed usually wins when playing against Yuumi, with a 52.4% win rate. Thus, Zed makes a good counter to Yuumi.

While Zed does have a higher win rate compared to Yuumi, when facing one another, Zed also has a much greater level of difficulty that makes him a more challenging champion to pick up and master. You don't need to be too worried when picking Zed into Yuumias his relative depth means you may not be able to reach his full potential without a significant amount of practice beforehand.

To truly master Zed in order to counter Yuumi during both the laning and mid / late game phases of League of Legends, you should keep reading to pick up a few extra lessons on this matchup. Zed typically picks up much more CS compared to Yuumi. Champions who on average don't get many minion kills often don't require much CS to be effective, such as support champions. These kinds of champions are able to scale properly off of their skills, stats, and first items alone. Yet, champions with a lot of CS, such as hyper-carries, usually need many items to be effective. In either case, try to do better than the values shown here to do well.

The most crucial items to use in your Zed versus Yuumi build include Rancor de Serylda, Hidra Profana, and Cicloespada Voltaica. When Zed incorporated at least these three pieces in his build, he performed significantly better countering Yuumi than with most other typical counter builds.
