Sett Counters

The best champions outside of lane to counter Sett include Kai'Sa, Xayah, and Ezreal. These champions are all great at countering Sett with decent win rates over 55%. Even if these Sett counter picks are not picked opposite your position, it's not a good idea to play him into any of these matchups. They will often beat Sett.

Yet, if the opposing team picks either Teemo or Swain, Sett mains should strongly think about selecting him, as he easily beats these selections with win rates over 54% against both ofthem.

Avoid letting Sett stick to you during fights as he excels in extended trades, winning most 1v1 encounters. Keep your distance, particularly if you're a ranged carry with a dash or peel that can help you kite him.

If Sett's only form of damage mitigation, his W, is used inappropriately, it could potentially lead to his demise. Try capitalizing on his misuse by going all in on him after he uses this ability.

Sett's Ultimate R can deal significant damage to your team if he manages to target it into your group. To counter this, avoid clustering up during fights so his ultimate won't land a significant amount of damage or slow multiple members of your team.

Recognize Sett's bullying abilities during the early game and adopt a defensive posture. If he gets a kill or two, he could quickly snowball his lead. Always be on guard whenever his Ultimate R, a potent trading tool, is up.

Sett can be an easy target for your jungler if he pushes without being ahead. Abstain from letting him keep the minion wave close to his side of the map, as it lets him run the enemy down while protecting himself from ganks.

In the mid-game, Sett tends to split-push and secure side objectives, often avoiding grouping. Counter this by contesting him and preventing him from harnessing his strong duelling potential.

In the late game, time your attacks and be aware of Sett's Ultimate R usage. Avoid engaging unless his Ultimate R is on cooldown as fights without it are significantly difficult for him. Be prepared to disengage and delay fights if it's still on cooldown.
