Nilah Counters

The best champs out of lane to counter Nilah include Nidalee, Volibear, and Rek'Sai. These champs are all great at countering Nilah with decent win rates over 54%. Even if these Nilah counter picks are not played in your lane, it's not a good idea to choose them into these matchups. They will often win against Nilah.

Yet, if the opposing team picks either Kennen or Lillia, Nilah mains should strongly consider selecting them, as they easily crushes these champions with win rates over 58% against each ofthem.

Keep in mind that Nilah's W blocks auto-attacks and enhanced auto-attack abilities. You'll need to work around this by using non-auto attack abilities for damage or baiting out her W before going for an attack.

Nilah is very vulnerable when her E ability is on cooldown. This ability gives her two dashes which she uses to get in and out of fights quickly. When her E ability is down, use this chance to lock her down and prevent her from playing aggressively.

Watch out for her Ultimate R. While it is quite powerful, it requires her team to support it for maximum effect. If you see her initiate with her R, be ready to disengage or counterattack if her team doesn't follow up.

Nilah is weakest early in the game, during which she tends to play safe and farm up. This is the best time to apply pressure and deny her as much farm as possible to delay her power spikes.

Once Nilah hits level 3, she gains access to all her basic abilities. This is her first power spike, and her trading power increases significantly. You need to be more careful when trading with her at this stage.

Nilah is particularly strong during the mid to late game, where she peaks at levels 9, 11 and 16 and becomes notably more effective in team fights. Try to build an advantage before she reaches these levels.

If she gets ahead, the best strategy is to focus on shutting her down in team fights before she can deal too much damage. Watch her patterns, often she will stick close to her Support, so separating the two can give your team an opportunity to take her out.
