Braum Counters

The top champs not in lane to counter Braum include Kalista, Xayah, and Aphelios. These are all great at countering Braum with high win rates over 55%. Even if these Braum counter picks are not picked opposite your position, it's not smart to play him into any of these matchups. They will likely destroy Braum.

Yet, if the opposing team brings either Lillia or Vel'Koz, Braum mains should seriously consider picking him, as he easily wins against these champs with win rates over 56% against both ofthem.

Braum excels from level 2 with his powerful all-in and defensive abilities so delaying his leveling progress by forcing him out of experience range can limit his impact in the early game. His main power spikes are at level 3 and level 6 when he gets access to all his abilities, so be cautious when he reaches these levels.

Braum struggles against ranged champions during the laning phase, so picking those types of champions can give you an edge. The poke from ranged champions can also force him to play defensively.

He heavily relies on his team for successful engagements, as he lacks a reliable engage tool besides his Ultimate. Trying to catch him out when he's alone or away from his ADC can be a good strategy.

His E damage mitigation ability is very strong against projectile attacks. Aim to exploit moments when this ability is on cooldown, as it leaves him and his ADC vulnerable to damage.

His Ultimate ability provides him with the ability to disrupt entire team fights, and he can also initiate fights with ease when it's up. Keep a close eye on his Ultimate cooldown and avoid clumping together when it's available to prevent being caught off-guard.

He is particularly strong in team fights thanks to his E and R, providing tons of peel and protection to his allies. Try to bait out these abilities before committing to an all-out fight and target squishier, unprotected opponents when possible.

If Braum starts getting ahead, don't panic. Keep in mind that he�s primarily a support and is less effective without his team. Try to exploit moments when he's alone or when his key abilities are on cooldown to make a comeback.
