Akali Counters

The top champs outside of lane to counter Akali include Ezreal, Ziggs, and Tristana. These champs are all great at countering Akali with decent win rates over 55%. Even if these Akali counter picks are not used in your lane, it's not a good idea to take her into one of these matchups. They will likely beat Akali.

Conversely, if the opposite team choses either Teemo or Lillia, you should seriously consider selecting her, as she easily crushes these champions with win rates over 52% against both ofthem.

Pay close attention to your opponent's energy levels. Akali runs out of energy quite easily, making her vulnerable in these instances. Take advantage of this weak point to engage in aggressive plays.

Lock Akali down with crowd control. As an assassin, Akali finds difficulty in dealing with teams that possess a lot of crowd control (CC). This could lead to her quick death in team fights if she gets CC'd.

Keep a close eye on Akali's level. At level 6, she gets a significant power boost from her Ultimate, making her stronger and more capable of aggressive all-ins. Make sure to play defensively and stay healthy during this time.

Monitor Akali's farming progress. Her ability to clear waves quickly increases as she levels up. Preventing her from farming effectively could cripple her mid-game power.

Do not underestimate Akali's kill potential when she's alone. She excels in assassinating isolated targets, making her a lethal threat in split fights or picks. Always move in groups, especially in the later stages of the game.

Invest in defensive items. As the game progresses, Akali's power tends to fall off, especially if enemies start buying defensive items. This can make it harder for her to take them down, reducing her threat level.

Be prepared for a skilled Akali. Akali is one of the hardest champions to master in the game and if your opponent is adept with her, expect a lot of effort to beat them. Familiarize yourself with her abilities and playstyle to best counter her.
